Zen & Faith

Faith hasn't been here for the past 2 weeks, its always fun to watch them play along each other :) Grandma commented they are just like twins in our eyes, with their parents being 8 minutes apart. Zenith and Faith are 3 weeks apart.

Sleeping Habits

He likes to put his leg or legs in between the bar, and panicks when they get stucked.

Our Oatmeal Chocolate Cookies!

It was Kim's suggestion, so i decided to do home baking of cookies today. It was quite simple because ingredients is pre-mixed, its a matter of managing our oven heat! We tried a few rounds of baking, each time it turns out to be slightly different. Of course with practise, it makes perfect. Daddy loves eatting cookies, its a pity he's not here to try them. But Daddy is coming back in 20 days, we can try home baking again! Yeah!

Our first batch of cookies burnt, we didn't watch the oven! And the cookies turned out to be so big. Hee..

Second batch seems to be much better!

Celeste says its good! I controlled letting her eat too much because its really sweet and heaty.

Popo is sick, she says she's having a very bad cough, wish Popo get well soon, else she won't be able to see the kids soon!

101 Excuses..

I got Celeste a new set of fruit cutting toys, and she's coming up with all the excuses why Zenith cannot play. Didi cannot play, Didi is tired, Didi is sleeping, Didi rest, Didi is a boy! Didi cannot play cooking! I thought that was funny.

Pigmentation in young children

We first thought it was white spots, according to the GP, the blotchiness is caused by Celeste's sensitive nose. After confirmation from the Pediatrician, its actually pigmentation caused by the sun. I guess it happened over the period of time when she walked home everyday from school in the hot sun. Guess the UV rays was too strong for the young child even though she was wearing a hat. I read from an article that outdoorsy children who are often exposed to the sun can also develop a skin condition called Pityriasis Alba, which causes white scaly patches on the cheeks. To protect their skin, parents should apply sunblock on them or give them shade.

Zenith likes to come forward to you to hug you, lie on your leg to show his affection. When i carry him, he likes to lean on me too, i like it too :p

Junior Junkie

Dinner was really unsatisfying, i finally lost my appetite with the dinner delivery we had for the past 1 year. I cancelled their service with last dinner serving on 13th June. I continued my dessert with Ice-cream, jelly and tit-bits(chickadees) and offered them to my 2 darlings. So the 3 of us are busy munching away with.... heehee..

Weekend Over

What a great weekend, as always, its nice to Rest & Relax and enjoy dining out. Most importantly, we are looking forward to Daddy coming home. Its another 26 days. 3 more weekends to go. Yeah!

Celeste likes wearing hat, ever since she started school and PoPo had to walk her home from AMK Central which is 15 mins from home. It was always hot in the afternoon and that's how it got started... This is a pretty cap but slightly big for her.

Where's his Teeth?

Junior Tay Yi Yang only has a 3/4 tooth exposed and he is 13.5 months old, he is definitely a late late bloomer :p I can see his upper tooth coming out soon, it looks big!

Scared Scared

There's something that Zenith is afraid of :going down the flight of steps. He needs you to hold both his hands, he resist if only one of his arms is held.

Bed Time Routine

Reading has become her bed time routine and her favourite story book is "Thumberlina", of course the reading is done by Me. She won't sleep until stories are read to her. Celeste didn't get attached to any soft toy from the start even though we tried to put them around her, now she has become quite attached to a little teddy bear and we name her "Chloe". She likes to talk to Chloe and cover her with blanket before she sleeps.

Watching Barney

Celeste enjoys watching Barney programmes, if Daddy is in town, we would have brought her to watch the Barney Concert next month. She loves to sing along with Barney & Friends. I didn't really want to bring her there alone, so i bought her a Barney live Concert VCD instead.

Cool down

Zenith is always sweaty all over though he bathes 3-4 times a day and that's because he is so active, he walks around the house and loves to sneak into the kitchen (forbidden to go in). He loves to throw his toys around at corners and pick them up (no idea why he likes to do that) and also likes to throw the toys at forbidden areas (balcony, toilet, kitchen) with the excuse to pick them up. Of course we always see through his ploy Haha. He can try harder..

Feeling Low

i have been feeling low this week, initially i thought its because of work, now i think looking after the kids has made me very tired. Besides having to work full time, i have to send and pick Celeste from school. At home, its having to attending to this demanding child who's constant whinning really tires and piss me off. She doesn't allow me to have some time to myself to rest and relax. At times, i start feeling isolated being restricted by the many family commitment. Mark is not around and I can't just ask somebody to take over the kids. I am looking forward to some time of my own really and a shoulder to lean on. Mark said i did a good job for the past 2 months, but then again, i didn't have a choice, i just had to be positive. For the 2 months, i self motivated myself silently, i felt i had to be stronger and I didn't want to rely too much on others. I started thinking about my dreams and what i really want. I have to push myself further and see whats out there, yes.. i want it this way.

Rise & Shine

I cuddled Zenith to sleep in the morning, i miss the feeling of bonding with him as he sleeps with Auntie Cecile in the kids room. When he saw Celeste sleeping on the floor, he tried to call her and he woke her up. They played awhile at 5am before all of us fell asleep soon. Celeste looked so tired this morning on the way to school :P But they had fun waking up together.

Holiday is over in a glance, back to reality tomorrow :(
Though the hot weather was a torture to me, but i was really happy to have spent the long weekend with my family and kids. Its heart warming to see how the children love the grandparents company and vise verse. It was also great not having to work, dine out, resting at home and playing with the kids. I can start dreaming of the coming TOTO draw now... :o
The next holiday will only be in 3 months time, but we have more things to look forward to meantime..

Who's the most busybody in the house now? It's no longer Celeste or Me! He just wants to have a hand in everything we do..

Naughty

He throws his temper by bending his back backwards, thinking we will always be there for hold him! I scolded him and put him to lie on the floor instead. He was surprised that this was the reaction from us and he stops crying.

Doctor Tay

He found this toy in the guestroom, he doesn't really play with the things inside, he just like to take the box and walk around the house with it.

Weather's Sooooo Hot!

Its 32 degrees, feels like 38 degrees! So Hot! I bet its better to go out shopping then staying home. We went IKEA, it was crowded especially at the cafeteria where food is good & reasonably priced! Celeste requested for a Spaghetti Kids Meal, she totally LOVED IT! She finished everything up and was not affected when others sat opposite her on the same table to CHOP the seats. Grandma already left the table because all of us have finished our food except Celeste, she was just enjoying every mouthful of her spaghetti at a very slow pace.
